HDD Reamers

The HDD Reamers is the key component of the horizontal directional drilling(HDD) during the reaming process. In horizontal directional drilling construction, the HDD Reamers is a tool that cuts and breaks the soil and rock along the guiding trajectory. Expanding from the guide hole to the appropriate aperture usually requires multiple stages of hole expansion and multiple cleaning operations.
The Horizontal Directional Drilling(HDD) method for laying pipes is a construction technique that utilizes techniques such as cliff soil drilling tools and pipeline detection to lay, repair, and replace underground pipelines without excavating trenches on the surface. It uses a HDD Drilling Rig placed on the surface to form holes using water jet or compression, and receives signals from the drill bit on the surface to control the drilling trajectory. The construction process is divided into three stages: drilling guide holes, expanding holes, and dragging pipelines back.The expansion forming is generally divided into several stages, gradually completing the expansion forming by connecting different diameter expansion tools. Different types of HDD Reamers can be selected based on geological conditions.

Horizontal Directional Drilling(HDD)Reamers are generally divided into the following types according to different layers:
Barrel Reamers
1.Barrel Reamers can squeezing and cutting, with certain squeezing and stabilizing functions on the hole wall. During the process of expanding the Barrel, there is a certain degree of squeezing and stabilizing function on the hole wall. Welding wear-resistant materials on the outer surface of the barrel can maintain diameter and correct the wellbore wall. The rear end cover of the Barrel Reamers is welded with a tungsten carbide hard alloy cutting head with a large conical surface, which is conducive to reverse expansion in case of collapse.
2.Fluted Reamers(Strong ability to pass through obstacles such as tree roots and crushed stones when drilling with a large cutting edge).
